From time to time, we hear your concerns about getting into classes, so we wanted to clarify how our waitlist system works and share a few handy tips. Our scheduling operates on a rolling 14-day schedule, meaning you can always view classes well in advance. Members can book up to 10 days ahead, while non-members can book 7 days in advance. When a class reaches full capacity, an option to join the waitlist becomes available.
Our waitlist is an automatic system aligned with our cancellation policy, which kicks in 8 hours before class begins. Essentially, if someone cancels their spot with more than 8 hours before the class starts, the first person on the waitlist is automatically added. If a cancellation occurs within 8 hours, it will be treated as a late cancellation, and the waitlist will stop adding clients automatically—so no need to worry about being added to a 5:30 am class at 3:00 am!
Late cancellations or no-shows after the cutoff may result in the loss of a class from drop-ins or packs, or you might incur a $5 fee for late cancellations and a $10 charge for no-shows with The Barre Flight trial or Top Shelf memberships. If you have individual classes or packs, and you don’t make it in from the waitlist, that class will be credited back to your account for future use.
When a spot opens up within the final 8 hours, everyone on the waitlist receives a text notification. The first person to respond secures the spot in class. It’s important to note that being on the waitlist implies that you want to join the class if possible. If your plans change, please be sure to remove yourself from the waitlist, especially for early morning sessions to avoid being charged.
Here are a couple tips to get into class last minute.
Keep an eye on your texts. If a spot opens up last minute, you will receive a text and the first person to respond will get the spot.
You may already know this, but we do not allow clients to enter class the class more than 5 minutes late. While there is no guarantee you will get in, you are welcome to come in to the studio and be on standby if a spot opens up. If someone late cancels or is not here at the start of class. then we will release those spots to the clients who are here.
While we understand that long waitlists are intimidating, significant movement on these lists, especially the evening before is quite common. For example, many of our Saturday classes at 8:15 typically have over 15 people on the waitlist, yet often the class isn’t full by the time it happens. While we can’t guarantee this will occur every time, we generally see substantial fluctuation in our class attendance.
We can't wait to see you in class!
